The Baltimore Running Festival is our premiere fundraising event. The RPEMS community pours its heart and “sole” out every year in what has become an effort to not only raise money but strengthen our school family.

Each year, we pick a theme and a focused fundraising effort. In 2025, the Roland Park Annual Fund laced up their shoes for Race For the Future—Part II, continuing our efforts to raise money for technology and S.T.E.M. initiatives at RPEMS. More than 200 students, family members, staff and community members joined our team.

In prior years, our efforts have focused on capital projects such as the library refresh and refurbishment, technology, enrichment, and improving our recess and physical education programming. As a team, we raised roughly $50,000 last year and we will keep the momentum going.

It's fun, it's in the fresh air, and it's key to raising enough money to make some very important activities happen at our school each year. And if running isn’t your thing, try walking, or rolling, or join us by cheering on our team, raising money, volunteering to help out, or donating to different team members!

Now YOU’RE INVITED to join our 2026 RPEMS Baltimore Running Festival Team team. This year’s theme? “Ready, Set, Run for Recess!”

Festival Participation

The actual running is small, compared to the outpouring of generosity leading up to the festival. Each year our organizers find a way to make this event exciting for the entire school community. From classroom parties, to teacher competitions, to even becoming principal for the day… the Roland Park Annual Fund works to give everyone in the school community a rooting-interest in this event.
